This number called me 12 time about a month ago claiming to be the irs, called about 5 minutes ago and no one said anything but when i asked "hello?" A machine said "goodbye" and hung up. I called them back 3 times then and it said "this number is alligated"

I have received 5 calls from this number today. I answer and the line goes dead. On one call, someone with a foreign accent asked for me by name. I said this is she and they started speaking in a foreign language and hung up. I'm fed up with this!!!!

I was called in the first from (206)922-0880 I checked the number it was from Canada and the foreign voice said he was a government worker and he had the grant I requested. I told him I did not request any grants and hung up. Now I was called 6 times from this 808 number so I thought I would check the number before I answer it because I don't know anyone from Utah and I see its the same scam.

I have been receiving several calls all day long with no messages ever left. I finally picked up and told some foreign lady to stop calling my number and she immediately hung up!! No calls for a few hours, then got another one. I bitched them out again and lady just hung up. So annoying!! I never bothered asking what the call was even about! I knew it was crap anyways.

Got the same call. I was busy and had my phone off. Left 8 voicemails of simply an automated message saying "good bye". Got called again and admittedly had some fun with how vague everything was. They knew my email address and hometown somehow, probably other companies selling them info. Don't believe anything they say.

I received a call from foreign man, I think India or Pakistan. I was told I had a grant not a loan! I would never have to pay anything. I told him not to call again and I was reporting him! He hung up!

I was just called by an East Indian woman who I could barely understand. She told me the same stuff as the people below. I was entitled to a $5800 grant from the US Government and all I had to do was give them ALL my debit card information. I kept her on the line long enough to google search the number. I asked for his complete details...he says his name is MARTIN WILLIAMS and emp id: 86000624 and calling from US GOVERNMENT GRANT RESOURCES and website is GRANTS.COM....and they have short from website for this and call got disconnected (means he intentionally disconnected as this is F*** call). this is totally scam and F***

Likely spam call. Was reported as a high potential for spam calling and harassment, and also a number that charges you by the minute if you call back. This number callled my cell 4x today and left no message. Blocked.

I have had several calls in last couple days from this number. YesYesterday they would say that I won a $7,000 grant, today they just hang up so I called back and they were like we are calling you to say that you have won. I was like you didn't call me this time I called you and i want you too loose my number!

Called my daughter at college and said that she was awarded a $5,000.00 grant, but we had to pay $3.87 for postage, or we could give our bank account number and they would wire it immediately. This is a scam and it's sad they are preying on young college kids, that need the money and may easily fall for it.

This number (801-210-7423) also called me and said I was approved for a government grant all I had to do was pay the $3.87 for processing. I told him if this was a government grant for money I didn't have to pay back then the government could afford to put a stamp on it and mail it to me. He had my mailing address and email address to. I don't know how they get that information but don't answer the call.

He asked for my credit card information I refused to tell him then he read something too fast for me to understand so I asked to repeat it and he refused to repeat it. I told him I would contact the FBI and police and he said that is fine I understand now just send me your credit card information and I will send you the $7,000 on your credit card. Going to wait before I call the FBI and government because he claimed he worked for the government.

shheezze this number keeps calling my phone, looking for my girl friend. defiantly from India, people come all the way here from another half of the world try and scam us, yet they qualify for all kinds of tax breaks business loans ect, but no they come here impersonate federal officers ect to scam you, people wonder why Trump got elected???? maybe here is a clue. good luck folks.

Claimed to be federal agent "John" & gave badge number, with reason for call similar to others reporting here. I asked him if he knew the penalty for impersonating a federal agent, he replied "no". I told him he was about to find out, as he had reached a federal agent. Click, he hung up. Go figure. Just like all the other callers claiming to be govt or legal officials - scam. Don't give them any info.

Got the same type of call from a recording, Federal government... don't ignore... trying to scare me into calling back, didn't return call back. Don't call back.
Claiming to be a John Briggs, investigator for the IRS Criminal Division, Began saying I had Warrants for my arrest but he only had my last name and did not know my first name and asked for last 4 of my Social Security Number, I told him if he had the Info to give me the last 4 numbers, I identified myself as Law Enforcement and he hung up. He spoke with plain but broken English language.
